BBC standards falling...
The BBC website is notorious for its non-existent proofreading - embarrassing for the institution that has had a decades-long reputation as the upholder of standards in our noble language.
Well, from now, Aunty is fair game on this blog! It's time to declare war on BBC typos...
Here's one I found a few minutes ago.
Note this almost amusing literal: "Casey's uncle, Michael Mullen, 21, of Lawrence Road, Leeds, is die to stand trial for her rape and murder in July."
Now, most people might well agree that a child rapist deserves to die for their crimes, but really, the BBC should do better when it comes to checking for typos.

2.30pm update: It's been corrected.
